Pests We Treat

On this page is some information on some of the pests that we treat. If you would like some more information on termites – please see our dedicated termite page.

Cockroaches

Cockroaches are a range of species of the order Blattaria or Blattodea. There is approximately 4,500 species known, however there is only about 30 associated with human habitations. Most Australians have experienced a cockroach or two!

Cockroaches can live almost a month without food, and can hold their breath for up to 40 minutes! They can prove to be difficult to catch, due to their fast reflexes.

Without the correct equipment, it is difficult to eradicate cockroaches. Luckily, we have that equipment!

Spiders

Another common pest in Australian homes is the spider. Of the order Araneae, spiders have eight legs, and fangs that inject venom.

There are approximately 40,000 different species of spiders. Common Australian spiders include redbacks, huntsman, funnel web, cross, orb, wolf, white-tailed, sac, mouse, jumping, and the famous ‘daddy-long-legs’.

Though no deaths have been caused in Australia by spiders in the last 30 years (due to the supply of antivenom) – spider bites are not a pleasant experience!

Protect yourself and your family, and get rid of these creepy crawlies today.

Ants

Ants are social insects of the family Formicidae. It has been estimated that there are about 22,000 species of ants.

Ants form colonies that range in size – large colonies can contain over millions of ants!

Often, ants invade our homes to raid for food to store for their colony. Our special formulae is picked up by the ants, and then taken back to their home, which then eradicates the whole colony. It is an extremely effective way of reducing the treating these pests.

Rodents

Rodents are mammals of the order Rodentia – this includes mice and rats. Also in the same order is guinea pigs, hamsters and other small creatures.

When treating rodents, our Licensed Pest Techinicians take extra precautions to ensure any family pets are not affected.

Often hiding in hard to reach places, mice and rats can be hard to manage – but our techinicians are professionals and will assist you in managing these rodents, while protecting yourself, your family and your pets.

Fleas

Fleas are parasites, living from sucking the blood from animals (and sometimes humans).

Of the order Siphonaptera, there are over 2,000 species of fleas. The most common fleas are from our pets – cats and dogs.

While treating your pets directly is important, fleas can exist in the environment to easily re-infect your pets – or often contact with other animals, or even the next door neighbour’s pet can re-infect your pet.

We can help manage fleas so your pets can remain free of these pests.
